LAWRENCE BOLICK JOINS AQUENT AS CIO

25-Year Veteran Charged with Developing IT Infrastructure to Meet Company's Growing Global Needs

Boston, MA (August 9, 2002) - Aquent, a global professional services firm delivering creative and IT solutions, has named Lawrence Bolick as its Chief Information Officer. Bolick is responsible for the creation and deployment of information technology initiatives to meet Aquent's rapidly growing worldwide needs. The company has a pool of nearly 16,000 independent professionals and a client base spanning 69 offices in 13 countries. Bolick will be based at Aquent's headquarters in Boston.

"I am delighted to join Aquent as its Chief Information Officer. Aquent's strategic vision and market positioning provide challenging opportunities for the innovative use of information technology in support of business needs -- especially in today's evolving services marketplace," says Bolick. "I look forward to helping Aquent take advantage of these opportunities, and to continue to grow and capture market share."

Most recently, Bolick served as Vice President of Operations for SilverBack Technologies, a managed service provider that is financed by several top-tier venture capital firms in the New England region. Prior to that, he was Chief Information Officer with Cambridge Technology Partners during its hyper-growth period when the company grew twenty-fold into a global systems integrator. He also has held consulting management positions with both Big Five and systems integration firms.

As Aquent's CIO, Bolick oversees an organization charged with developing technology-based business solutions to support Aquent's services strategies. In addition, his organization provides technical support to all 69 offices worldwide.

Bolick earned his master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA. He also has a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He has published numerous articles including two Datamation cover articles, and has served as Chairman for the New York City section of the Communications Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and for an industry advisory panel at Lesley University.
